For over 50 years our offices have provided vision and eye care to residents of northern Westchester, Putnam and Fairfield counties.
From the single practitioner offices started in 1959 by Dr. Jerome Thaler and Dr. Bernard Gastrich, the practice has expanded in space and staff. In 1974, Dr. Robert Byne started a specialty practice dealing with preventive and therapeutic vision care, and in 1988 Dr. Ken Landesman, who teaches ocular disease detection at the State University College of Optometry, became a member of our staff.
Our office combines experience – we are the oldest optometric practice in the area – with innovative, modern equipment utilized by our Doctors of Optometry. The philosophy of this office will continue to stress top quality vision care and provide all that is necessary to achieve this with each patient.
